About me

Journey of a Daughter_2_mother

Hi, I’m Mamatha — an Indian woman, a proud mom of two beautiful kids, a wife, and a storyteller of this ever-evolving journey called life.

In 2016, I packed my bags and moved from India to Australia as a student, full of dreams and nerves. What started as a temporary plan turned into something so much bigger — a new life, filled with challenges, growth, and countless moments that shaped the person I am today.

Fast forward a few years, and after facing visa uncertainties, career struggles, homesickness, and the ups and downs of settling in a new country, my family and I finally achieved permanent residency. Recently, we took another big step — we bought our first home here in Australia. A dream that once felt so far away, now holds our daily chaos, memories, and late-night chai conversations.

Motherhood changed me in ways I never expected. It made me stronger, softer, and a lot more sleep-deprived! Raising kids between two cultures — Indian roots and Aussie soil — brings unique joys and challenges that I’m still learning to navigate.

This blog is my little space to share what I’ve learned (and am still learning) — about parenting, family life, cultural balance, food, friendship, self-growth, and everything in between.

Over the years, I’ve grown not just as a mom, but as a woman. I’ve learned how to speak up for myself, set boundaries, rebuild confidence, and build a small circle of friends who feel like home away from home. Personality development, emotional resilience, and self-love have become a big part of my life — and I hope to share pieces of that journey here, too.

Whether you’re an Indian mom abroad, a woman building her life from scratch, or just someone looking for real stories and relatable content — welcome. You’re not alone.

Thanks for stopping by — I’m so glad you’re here. 💛
